Biography:
Open source video developer Michael Dale co-created the MetaVid project, the largest free & reusable archive of house and senate legislative footage online. After working with Wikimedia, adding support for video editing operations and video-related functionality, Dale continued on to Kaltura, an open source media management company, where he lead development of the Kaltura HTML5 library, and supported a variety of integration work with major media companies, 3rd party plugin providers and open source CMS platforms. Dale graduated from the Film & Digital Media Department in 2004 , then went on to complete an M.F.A. in Digital Arts/New Media at UCSC.
