Lucas is a Colombian community organizer who has been doing youth, tenant and immigrant rights organizing in the Bay Area. After working towards building community defense efforts in the face of ICE enforcement activities in Oakland, Lucas has shifted towards growing as a visual storyteller. Lucas hopes to struggle towards the abolition of ICE, policing, incarceration and detention by bringing robust visual storytelling and multimedia strategies into movement spaces while creating practical organizing tools through film.
