Biography: 
Jamilli Pacheco-Urquiza (he/they) is a first-generation Mexican-American filmmaker from Somerset, New Jersey. He holds a B.A. in Cinema Studies from Rutgers University-New Brunswick. During his time at Rutgers, he interned at Motto Pictures, a documentary film production company, and the New Jersey Film Festival. Before arriving in Santa Cruz, they were a Development Fellow at Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Their first film De Oaxaca With Love, a film about his grandmother’s migration story in relation to her favorite Mexican dish, premiered at EB Indie Film Festival, which was also the moment he decided he wanted to continue on the path to be a documentary filmmaker.
