Research Interests: Child Welfare - particularly the psychological ramifications of trauma; Social Justice - immigration and refugee rights; Auteur and Schreiber Theory - pertaining to its application in documentary filmmaking; Latinx Diaspora; Surveillance and Genocide Studies; End-of-life Rights; and unique stories that pertain to the human condition.
Biography: 
Born and raised in San Francisco's Mission District, my early work included working with at-risk youth, then progressed to a broader emphasis on child welfare and community organizing. This last decade consisted of discovering my passion for documentary filmmaking, while also experiencing breaks of international travel as an English teacher and film researcher. Goals: Continued growth in global citizenry, while exercising a mantra of patience, resiliency, and hard work.
