Catalina Jeanneret Calderón

Biography: 
Catalina Jeanneret Calderón is from Santiago, Chile and has a BA in History and a diploma in Anthropology and Audiovisual Creation, both from Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile. She works as a photographer and filmmaker making projects that blend memory, archival material, stills, and film about Visual and Material Culture in contemporary Chile and pre-Columbian, Colonial heritage. Catalina came to UCSC in 2018 to study in HVAC, History of Consciousness and Feminist Studies. Her proposed MFA thesis will explore safety and nightlife.
