Sanctions on the Sky investigates U.S. economic embargos on Iran’s civil aviation sector and the context created by the sanctions as one of the contributing factors for plane crashes in Iran. It becomes a journey for the viewers to observe and sense the Iranians' concerns about their safety while flying a passenger plane. This documentary updates the spectators on the U.S. lawmakers' portrayal of economic penalties and question their effectiveness while recognizing several other factors that have turned the sky into a death trap for Iranians.
