Curt Miyashiro: Creative Challenges and VR

Curt Miyashiro will talk about the VR industry, using Jaunt VR as a model, and the creative challenges that artists face creating live action VR.

This includes topics such as composition, directing the audience, practical challenges to shooting VR, and the current state of distribution and viewing content. 

Curt Miyashiro is a UCSC Alumni, Cowell ’89, who has spent over twenty years in the entertainment industry.  He worked at Lucasfilm’s Industrial Light & Magic visual effects group for over twenty years.  Creating visual effects for numerous films, from Jurassic Park to War of the Worlds as a Digital Artist and Digital Production Supervisor.  Recently he has made the jump over to the nascent world of Virtual Reality working at Jaunt VR creating live action VR experiences.
