In addition to our student showcase, we are pleased to announce that we have three alums who will also be screening their work at the festival.  

Chris Guerrero's (F&DM '08) "Mike Garcia and the Cruz" 
Friday, November 14 at 7:00 PM as part of the Friday Night Comedy Program

Mike Garcia, a punk rocker, student and IT specialist at a University in Santa Cruz, California is entrusted with the Chancellor's laptop containing dubious secrets. When a group of anarchists steal it to expose the truth, Mike must get it back or risk being kicked out of school. After seeking the help of his Gothic gamer room mate Susan, Mike is catapulted into weirder and weirder situations exacerbated by Ryan, a hipster ecstasy dealer, and Vanessa, a tough as nails derby girl.

Sam Stoker's (SocDoc '13) "Ghosts of March 21." 
Sunday, November 16 at 2:30 as part of Rise Up

An interrogation of race, power and justice in the US, the Ghosts of March 21 focuses on the death of Lovelle Mixon and the factors that led him to kill four Oakland police officers in the deadlies confrontation in Bay Area law enforcement history.
