Those Names We Cannot Forget, by SocDoc Alum Carolina Fuentes, will be featured at SOMarts’s collective art exhibit, Mourning and Scars 20 Years After the War.
Carolina documented Patricia Silva and Patricia Morales in El Salvador, on their journey of performing songs and poems inspired in the heroes not mentioned on the official history of the civil war. With this recital of music and poetry, “Las Tocayas” facilitate collective reflection and healing among neighbors and communities in recalling and sharing their experiences of friendship, camaraderie, persecution and trauma.
