Visiting Artist Eric Escobar

Eric Escobar is a Sundance Award Winning Director who also worked on the Final Cut Pro Development Team at Apple, Inc, and the Dynamic Media Team at Adobe Systems.  Come and listen to Eric talk about the technology that every filmmaker will need to master if they want to survive in the 21st Century media creation landscape.

Eric Escobar is an Oakland based filmmaker.  His films have screened in the US and internationally.  In 2005 his short film, One Weekend A Month, won an honorable mention in short filmmaking at the Sundance Film Festival.  His feature film screenplay ARMY OF ONE was selected for the Film Independent Director's Lab in 2007.  In addition to making films, Eric has worked in filmmaking software development at Apple Inc., and Adobe Systems.  Currently, Eric is working in a directors' collective called Kontent Films in San Francisco (www.kontentfilms.com) where he directs commercials, his own original work, helps develop tools for filmmakers, and blogs extensively at http://prepshootpost.blogspot.com.
