Biography:
A three part audio documentary about undocumented Latina/o immigrants and the health care system. Undocumented immigrants are often portrayed as robbing state coffers by utilizing social services set up for citizens. Salud challenges this stereotype with stories of three immigrants who are trying to survive in post 9/11 America, while worrying about their health. Themes of fear, deportation, alternative strategies, and community arise, to show how they navigate healthcare in the US.
