Biography:
With an aesthetic style that blurs the line between past and present, Way Down in the Hole tells the story of the bloody Ludlow, Colorado coal miners' strike of 1913-1914, and illuminates its significance to contemporary social justice movements. The film is a meditation on class struggle, national identity, and violent insurrection, played out across the wild frontier of the industrial American west.
