Biography: 
Lalu Esra is a film curator, festival organizer, videographer, aspiring archivist, and educator. After completing their MA degree in ‘Film and Screen Studies from Goldsmiths College, University of London, Lalu Esra has been a dedicated contributor to Pembe Hayat QueerFest as the coordinator, programmer, and director. Their current work explores the movie theatres as places of community-building, worldmaking, and sex work of lubunyas in Turkey. They are interested in critical archival studies and practices, queer/trans studies, exhibition and reception histories among many others.
