In a suburb of Dakar, workers on the construction site of a futuristic tower haven't been paid for months. They decide to leave the country by the ocean. Among them is Souleiman, the lover of Ada, promised to another.

Winner of the Cannes Film Festival Grand Prize in 2019, the film is an ode to the ocean as a space of mourning and refuge, unpredictable, thrilling. Mysterious fevers and fires, djinns haunting the women left behind, love and revenge.

Here is a trailer for the film.
