FDM and SocDoc at the Santa Cruz Film Festival 2018

The Santa Cruz Film Festival takes place on October 3-7 at various locations around downtown Santa Cruz.  This year, we have two films that will be screened at the festival that were produced by FDM and SocDoc students:

  • AT CAPACITY: a documentary made by the students of FILM 175 Winter 2018, under the direction of Professor Irene Lusztig, that takes a look at the housing crisis currently in Santa Cruz.
  • STIM: a short documentary made by Social Documentation MFA candidate Marrok Sedgwick, that features "Autistic people telling in their own words what the act of 'stimming' means to them."

Congratulations to all of our slugs who will be participating at the festival. Please support their efforts by attending a screening.  Tickets are available on the Santa Cruz Film Festival website.  More information about these films and locations of events can be found on their website.
