Come celebrate the Social Documentation (SocDoc) graduate program’s ten year anniversary!

SocDoc is a master’s program for mediamakers “committed to social change and to documenting communities, cultures, issues and individuals who are marginalized in our current landscape of representation.”

This event will feature an engaging alumni panel from 7:00pm-8:30pm, followed by a reception with food and light refreshments.  Panelists will discuss their experiences as filmmakers after graduation and share their perspectives on finding support and sustainability as artists/storytellers, developing strategies to produce and fundraise their work and breaking barriers as women and people of color in filmmaking.

The panel will be a great opportunity for alums to connect with students and attendees who are interested in social change documentary filmmaking and storytelling.  Participants will have a chance to engage in a question and answer session and gain advice from working professionals.  SocDoc faculty, staff and current students will also be in attendance.  We hope you will join us in an evening to recognize the achievements of SocDoc graduates and learn about the ways they are contributing to and transforming the field of filmmaking.
