Upcoming Events for Winter 2012

Winter quarter is gearing up to be a very eventful quarter! We have a variety of events that are happening in Film & Digital Media this quarter.  

First off, we have our "Word is Out: A Queer Film Classic" screening, lecture and book presentation with our very own Greg Youmans on Thursday, January 26.  

Then, we will have three installments of our Visual and Media Cultures Colloquium Series during winter quarter, starting with Leigh Raiford on Monday, January 30, followed by Hagi Kenaan on February 27 and Helga Tawil-Souri on March 5.  For a complete schedule of evens for VMCC, click here.  

In February, we have two visiting artists visiting during one week: Kathy Huang on February 13, and Adele Horne on February 15!

In March, we will have a two-day event with visiting artist Zoe Beloff on March 12 & 13.  

In addition, we also have our weekly Wednesday Night Cinema Society screenings: "The Copy Machine - re-enactment in documentary," as well as the Visual and Performance Studies "Temporalities of Reenactment" Speaker Series featuring a few of our own FDM faculty.  

And finally, stay tuned for information about our FILM 196A Senior Project Screening at the end of winter quarter.  Details to be announced soon!
