Film Screening: MAGGOTS AND MEN

Tue, Dec 1, 2009, 3:00 am to 5:00 am
Location:
Classroom Unit 2

Film screening followed by discussion with director Cary Cronenwett.

An homage to Soviet silent-era directors and artists of the Russian avant-garde, Maggots and Men retells the tale of the 1921 Kronstadt Rebellion of anarchist sailors.  Made in the Bay Area and cast with actors from a range of masculine gender expressions, the film documents a rapidly evolving transgender community and illuminates the gender revolution currently taking place in our society.
