Our discourse will focus on the horror film genre and the ways it influences and engages with documentary film. If horror is a reflection of society's fears how does the documentary film reflect those fears? This course will include screenings of horror films and disturbing documentaries and weekly writing assignments exploring themes of social justice, art activism, and documentary ethics.
