Biography:
Closer to Home is a photographic documentary that explores a new movement of people who take large steps toward sustainability by living in small homes. While the average square footage of a new American home has risen to over 2,400 square feet (2.5 times the average size in 1950), smallhousers typically occupy only 70-400 square feet per person. In this time of extreme economic and environmental crisis, more people are choosing "to live simply so that others can simply live."
