Lara Saab

Graduate Student, MFA Program
In her current research, Lara Saab assembles fictional narratives from found footage, posts, and sounds that she collects from social media platforms. In her video, she documents communal rituals practiced during the October 17 popular uprising in Lebanon, as well as manifestations of emotional support and intimacy experienced during the protests.
Saab is currently the Coordinator of the Home Workspace Program at Ashkal Alwan, a non-profit committed to contemporary artistic practice, and production in Beirut, where she is based.
