Special Topics Seminar: Feminist Histories of Hollywood

This seminar will study intersecting histories of gender, race, and sexuality in Hollywood's "Golden Age" - roughly 1930's to 1960. We will investigate censorship, queer "representability," female stars, including women of color, as well as work by female filmmakers and creators active during this period.
